The secure connectivity solution from CI-Net comprises a Firewall and an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). StoneGate IPS defends the network proactively by detecting malicious packets within regular network traffic and blocking them before any damage occurs. For critical locations, where resiliency is identified as a key requirement, all single points of failure need to be duplicated. For many organisations the firewall is a point of high risk and in these cases CI-Net recommends an out-of-the-box, clustered, load-balanced environment. This ‘Drop in Firewall Clustering Technology’ allows a cluster to be added into the network environment without reconfiguring existing switches or routers.
