CI-Net opens for business

CI-Net the new leading Wide Area Network design and deployment company unveils its new corporate identity and becomes fully operational on 16 July 2007.

Formerly Community Internet plc, one of a handful of business focused ISPs, CI-Net has evolved into a major player in the provision of fully managed Wide Area Networks (WANs). CI-Net provides secure resilient networks to UK companies. By making intelligent use of innovative technology CI-Net can tailor WAN solutions to meet customer specific needs whilst at the same time ensuring value for money.

This change of emphasis has pitted CI-Net against new competition from Virtual Network Operators (VNOs) and Tier 1 Carriers. However, CI-Net has a significant advantage over VNOs since its own core network means it can offer a highly flexible and resilient service and has the ability to host customer specific equipment inside its own infrastructure. CI-Net has far more agility than Tier 1 Carriers and can deliver a total solution from the smallest to the largest requirement.

Based in new offices in the Langford Locks business park near Oxford, CI-Net brings together people, innovative technologies and products to offer its customers a broader, more flexible approach to WAN development, which is supported by a dedicated professional services team.

“The quality of our people, their depth of knowledge and their ability to find the best of breed technologies are key to the success of CI-Net. Our innovative approach and solid referencable track record of delivery are the reasons why customers return to us time and time again and recommend CI-Net to others,” says Graham McLean Managing Director of
CI-Net.

The new logo comprises the company name and a graphic displaying three connected points – one of which is the dot over the “I” in CI-Net. This is designed to create a symbolic representation of how CI-Net becomes an integral part of customers’ communications systems. It also highlights the close partnerships which CI-Net will forge with its customers and suppliers as part of its key aim to be the recommended network partner

“By seeking out innovative technology and backing it with a dedicated professional services team we can rapidly deploy Wide Area Networks, IP services and managed infrastructure services that are secure, resilient, and flexible and which offer our customers a broader, more cost effective approach to WAN development,” says McLean.
