Wired & Wireless Resiliency
Most network managers recognise that while having multiple service providers does offer some resiliency, this only covers problems that happen within the service providers environments. Issues that arise in the customer communications room, along the ducts servicing the building or at the local exchange will affect all service providers. Having diverse routes serving your building gives much stronger resiliency.
RedKite fundamentally changes the way companies implement diverse routing. The last mile is connected through the air from customer premises to a CI-Net access node and routed back to the CI-Net core network infrastructure. A true diverse route from your wired connection. From here data can be routed via the Internet (VPN) to the destination, or if it is a CI-Net private WAN, routed via the link from the CI-Net network to the customers on-net destination.
With set-up costs of £2000 - £4000, diverse routing is not a cost prohibitive solution for any organisation inside a RedKite catchment area that wants to reduce the risk presented by the single route.
