Knauf Drywall wins Construction Marketing Award

Leading plasterboard, plaster and drywall system manufacturer, Knauf Drywall, was recently awarded the Construction Marketing 2006 Award for ‘Best use of online communications’ for its partition specifier tool, which was implemented by Community Internet plc (CI).

The prestigious Construction Marketing Awards are universally recognised as a unique and highly regarded measure of excellence in construction marketing and business development. To win the award the tool had to demonstrate clear objectives, innovation and creativity, tangible success and cost effectiveness.

CI delivered a web-based tool that enables Architects, Contractors and Builders to identify which products they need from the Knauf Drywall range. Launched last year, the site has recently undergone a major facelift to improve its functionality. Using Web2.0 technologies to enable users to access to the full Knauf product range, registered users can instantly create specification documents for their entire building project.

The new tool has revolutionised the way specification documents are created, improving efficiency and making products far more accessible to users.
“Originally launched in 2005, the system was warmly welcomed by our customers,” says Bob Stark Marketing Communications Manager of Knauf Drywall. “Registrations have increased and the redesign from CI has radically improved the appearance, usability and content of the site, making it much easier for our customers to signup. We are proud to receive the ‘Best use of online communications’ award and look forward to our customers taking advantage of this enhanced system.”
