CI-Net MD completes African Bike Adventure

CI-Net MD, Graham McLean has helped raise £7,585 for African charities in a gruelling ten day motorcycle ride through South Africa. He successfully completed the Enduro Africa 2008 charity off road rally through South Africa’s famous WildCoast.

Riding up to 300 Km a day, Graham was one of a team of 84 ‘saddle sore’ riders on the Enduro expedition, who braved 11 hour bike rides, lightening storms, accidents, broken bones, getting lost on route and heat exhaustion on the trip which took them from Port Elisabeth to Durban.  “There was breathtaking scenery everywhere you looked,” said Graham. “We rode through mountains trails, forests and ravines and alongside rivers and coastal paths. Memorable moments included meeting local people in remote villages where the only utility was a single water tap. The money we’re raising will help improve the living conditions and education facilities in these areas.”

The money raised by Enduro Africa will go to three charities: UNICEF, Sentebale – The Princes' Fund for Lesotho and the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund. Click here to visit Graham's website where you can find more information or make a donation,
