New WAN lets Nomenca engineers collaborate on site
Nomenca, the specialist engineering contractor for UK utility companies, is rolling out a new secure, agile Wide Area Network (WAN) that delivers resilient on site connectivity to the company’s constantly changing pattern of UK contract locations.  

Additional flexibility is provided by using 3G routers to give immediate on-site connectivity for short term projects or at remote locations.

Cut software costs by 30% with FLEX Computing
CI-Net estimates that its Flex service, which provides customers with Microsoft Office and Microsoft collaboration software hosted from its data centres, will cut software costs by at least 30%.

The service allows customers to avoid long term, up-front software license fees and spares them from the hassles and costs of managing applications and related infrastructure. However, cost savings alone are not enough.  The software is hosted from resilient data centres with complex business continuity and disaster recovery facilities that customers would find it hard to recreate themselves.
