Hacking Workshop: June 9th, Oxford
Businesses can get a real insight into the cyber ‘bad guys’
Companies are invited to attend a computer hacking workshop to help them better understand the threat to their businesses from malicious hackers.
Participants at the half day workshop on 9 June will be shown how easy it is to access hacking tools from the Internet, followed by hands-on experience of how these tools can be used to hack into an example web site.
CI-Net Technical Director Andy Conway, says it is important for businesses to understand what ‘the bad guys’ can really do: “As well as being a fun way of getting an insight into the methods used by hackers and cyber criminals the workshops will provide useful information about IPS technologies that can be used to protect organisations’ computer networks.”
“Of course we will stick to revealing widely known hacking methods which no longer pose a real security risk. But this provides a good picture of the potential dangers for those who want to be able to protect themselves. After all, it’s always good to get to know your enemy,” adds Conway.
The workshops, which cost £100 per delegate, are targeted at IT and business staff at medium sized private and public sector organisations. The event on June 9 will be held in CI-Net’s offices in Kidlington near Oxford. Click here or call Rose Gill on 01865 856000 to check availability.
