CI-Net acquires business ISP  Interdart

New WAN provides business continuity    
Timber and building services company, David Cover, has gone live with a new resilient Wide Area Network, which is delivering improved connectivity enabling over 200 staff at the company’s sites to access critical business trading software. 

The Performance on David Cover’s previous MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) network was deteriorating with delays and frequent time outs. An improvement in network connectivity was essential. The new WAN, implemented by CI-Net, incorporates StoneGate firewall appliances which load balance data along multiple ADSL connections to ensure it takes the fastest route to its destination. The appliances also provide a vital automatic failover facility.

Going for growth through strategic acquisitions

BT Outage update
On the 4th April the unthinkable happened, when a third party contractor using a large thrust borer damaged a BT tunnel 32 meters underground destroying the fibre infrastructure carried within. This severely affected emergency services, mobile phone operators, ISP’s, over 70,000 homes and hundreds of businesses across the UK.
