MD is set for African Bike Adventure
Graham Mclean, CI-Net Managing Director, is taking part in Enduro Africa 2008, a charity off road rally through South Africa’s famous Wild Coast. The endurance test, which involves riding approximately 200 miles a day through rugged terrain, is raising money to help change the course of the HIV epidemic in South Africa and Lesotho
Graham, who flies out to South Africa on 2nd October, said: “It’s going to be an adventure of a life time. I’ve never been to Africa but this trip will allow me to really experience a part of the continent, including seeing first hand some of the poverty stricken areas that the Enduro tour has been organised to help.”
Graham’s challenge starts in Durban, where he will meet his partner – a trusty Honda CTX – which he is going to get to know very well over the course of the adventure! Through the 'Valley of a 1000 hills'. And into the rugged ‘Wild Coast’ where they will experience mighty rivers, gorges and nature reserves, finally making a very saddle weary but triumphant entrance into Port Elizabeth through the Big 5 Reserves of Kariega.
The money raised by Enduro Africa will go to three charities: UNICEF, Sentebale – The Princes' Fund for Lesotho and the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.
